Job description

Our client is the #1 Taiwanese street food quick service chain, offering an array of authentic delights. Founded in 2003, they have dominated the Taiwanese street food market in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia with over 20 years of unmatched expertise. Due to expansion, they are looking for an Accountant to join their team!

Key Responsibilities

1. Report and work closely with Financial Controller/Finance Manager
2. Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation of full sets of accounts
3. Preparation of audit and tax schedules
4. Prepare bi-weekly payment runs and monthly 3rd party or intercompany billing
5. Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
6. Responsible for intercompany reconciliation
7. Prepare quarterly GST for submission
8. Liaise with internal and external auditors to facilitate a smooth audit process
9. Liaise with tax agents and other stakeholders
10. Recommending improvement of internal controls, risk identification and business processes including but not limited to accounting practices
11. Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
12. Strong technical accounting, tax and GST knowledge
13. Strong F&B and/or retail-related knowledge (Preferably)
14. Experience in handling annual audit
15. Minimum 3 years prior experience in a similar capacity
16. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders of diverse backgrounds
17. MYOB/Sage300, Google workspace and Microsoft office proficient
18. Neat and meticulous in documentation and handling
19. Be a proactive member in the Finance team
20. Ability to work within tight deadlines
