A leading company in travel retail seeks an experienced financial executive to oversee financial reporting, tax compliance, and audits. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, at least five years' experience, and proficiency in MS Excel. This role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and efficiency within the organization.
Job Description
1) Financial Reporting
Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management
Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
2) Month-End and Year-End Closing
Manage the financial reporting including the preparation of financial reports, such as profit and loss account, balance sheet, management financial report, and regulatory reports and filings
3) Financial Management Operations
Monitor cash flows and plan to optimize asset flow efficiency
Responsible for accounting processes and tasks (ie. AP & AR process, GL, Account Reconciliation, etc.)
Coordinate and liaise with internal parties
Support forecasting and budgeting exercise
Coordinate and liaise with external parties like auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities
Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST, WHT, CIT), audits, procedures
Assist in new processes and system implementation when required
4) Reconciliation & Audit Schedules
Validate all collections reconciliation
Validate Bank Reconciliation
Prepare Audit Schedules & Reconciliation
5) Statutory Reporting & Tax Compliance
Financial Year-End Audit preparation
Corporate Income Tax preparation
Statistic report preparation
Sales Audit preparation
Sales Declaration statement
GST Filing preparation
WH Tax preparation
Job Requirements
Professional Accountancy Qualification, Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
At least 5 years of working experience, preferably Senior Executive specializing in Accounting from Retail Industry
Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
A self-starter who is able to plan, well organize and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
