Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage month-end close, prepare financial statements, and compile comprehensive management reports. You will handle full-set accounting tasks and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accountancy and a professional qualification, with at least 5 years of relevant experience and strong Excel skills. You will liaise with auditors and tax authorities to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing activities and prepare supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Compile management reports including P&L and balance sheets.
• Handle full-set accounting: A/P, A/R, GL, and reconciliations.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules for audits and internal reviews.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial data and resolve items.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and authorities on statutory matters.
• Assist with tax computations and statutory filings.
• Support improvements to accounting workflows and finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely month-end closing activities, including the preparation of supporting schedules and financial reporting packs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Compile management reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, and assist with regulatory reporting.
• Handle full-set accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documents for audits and internal reviews.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather financial information, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items within deadlines.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial firms, and relevant authorities on audit and statutory matters.
• Assist with tax computations, statutory filings, and the maintenance of proper financial records and documentation.
• Support improvements to accounting workflows, reporting templates, and finance system implementation as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (or equivalent) and a professional accountancy qualification
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
