Roles & Responsibilities
The Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and be responsible for comprehensive accounting duties, financial reporting, and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The role includes group consolidation and coordination with external accounting firms in Canada and France, as well as supporting corporate secretarial and administrative tasks in Singapore. The Accounting Manager may also support ad-hoc finance and operational projects as needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting and finance duties, including AR/AP processes, general ledger, tax matters, bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports for internal and regulatory purposes.
- Manage group consolidation of entities in Singapore, Canada, and France in compliance with relevant accounting standards to ensure timely local reporting, tax compliance, and statutory filings.
- Support corporate secretary and administrative requirements in Singapore, including ACRA filings, IRAS submissions, board resolutions, and other regulatory documents.
- Support operational teams with vendor relationships and invoicing processes.
- Maintain and reconcile all bank accounts monthly.
- Work closely with auditors, tax agents, and legal advisors to ensure smooth external engagements.
- Respond to audit and tax queries across jurisdictions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
- Assist with improving financial workflows and systems as the company scales.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting.
- 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or international environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (most notably MS Excel), Google Sheets and Xero.
- Familiarity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience supporting corporate secretarial and administrative tasks (e.g. ACRA, IRAS, board documentation).
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation, corporate tax, and cross-border reporting.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and analytical with a proactive working attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
