Qualifications

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Handle full set of accounts, including preparation of monthly financials and statistics to the Board.
• Prepare the yearly budget and monitor actual expenditure against budget.
• Prepare and submit GST returns.
• Review and ensure compliance to Finance policies and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance and compliance guidelines as stipulated by the regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Commissioner of Charities, and National Council of Social Service, etc.
• Liaise with external and internal auditors, corporate secretarial agent and fund management company.
• Support Sub-committees and Board meetings, including presentation and writing of minutes.
• Conduct an annual review with the various departments on their KPIs and Balance Scorecard on financial-related updates.
• Supervise, mentor and coach Finance executive(s) and vendors in the overall operations for Finance department.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and render support on financial-related advise to ensure good governance and continued operations of these projects
• Adhere to Company’s policies (including PDPA and staff-related) and procedures diligently, carry out duties in accordance with the specified service level and in good governance, observe client’s information confidentiality, and conduct oneself professionally when interacting with internal and external parties.
• Any other jobs and duties as and when assigned.

Job Pre-Requisites

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA) is preferred.
• Singapore Chartered Accountant will be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years work experience
• Familiar with Navision and Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial analysis is required.
• Experience in working in the social service sector and Cost Accounting will be advantageous
