Are you driven by problem solving? Do you thrive working with spare parts, service maintenance & projects? Looking no further, MacGregor is looking to hire an Account Representative with sales experience in the marine or offshore field.

The purpose of this role is to promote and sell the organization's products, with a main focus on spare parts, services maintenance & project, while serving as the front line of customer contacts and undertaking any other tasks assigned by management in the best interest of the company.

As an Account Representative, your day-to-day responsibilities will include pursuing sales leads and visiting customers to meet targets, negotiating sales terms and closing orders to achieve revenue goals, and assessing customer needs to recommend suitable products and services. In addition, you will identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships with key stakeholders that will generate the future sales and repeat business.

More tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales tactics with line manager’s approval

  • Gather market insight on competitor’s activity and sharing internally, to better respond to evolving market conditions and better understanding of customer needs and demands.

  • Plan and execute customer visits, produce reports, collect and share feedback to improve strategies

  • Maintain Customer Information in Salesforce CRM to ensure information on the customer's installed base are up to date.

  • To assist with the account receivable collection as and when required

This role is part of our Global Services Division. Reporting directly to the Regional Account Manager. This position is based in Singapore.

What you'll need to succeed
Understanding of the marine, shipping, or offshore industries is essential for this position. We are looking for a person with established experience in the Singapore market and with competence in Google Workspace. You are a self-driven, customer-focused individual with communication, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills, able to work with limited supervision, and you have a desire to further develop yourself and the department.

Ideally you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marine or business

  • 3-5 years in sales experience in Marine, Offshore or other relevant field

  • Fluent in English language - both verbal and written
