Account Manager – Telecom | MSP
Position Description

The Account Manager for Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, focusing on Cloud Service Providers, is a hunter role responsible for acquiring new logos, achieving quarterly revenue and margin targets, and expanding market share and revenue streams for Lenovo. This position involves managing broad responsibilities, requiring strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to operate within a highly matrixed organization. The role reports directly to the GM/MD of Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group.

Key Responsibility Areas
  • Grow and develop the country's Telecom MSP business as the single point of contact.
  • Ensure adequate pipeline coverage for all Data Center products.
  • Identify and manage strategic acquisition accounts within the segment.
  • Deliver sales presentations to large prospects and at industry events, organize customer workshops and proof of concept (PoC) sessions.
  • Drive marketing program execution relevant to the segment.
  • Engage with teams in responding to RFPs, product transition plans, and resource planning.
  • Interact extensively with Product Marketing, sales teams, including AEs, ISRs, and channel partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Strategic Alliances.
  • Increase market share and acquire new logos for Lenovo.
  • Articulate capabilities, understand customer requirements, and work with the product team to propose solutions.
Position Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years in business development, sales, or technical roles within the hyperscale, CSP, or Telco markets.
  • Significant experience in a similar role with a major industry player.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred).
Key Competencies Required
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently as a business owner.
  • Existing relationships with at least three of the following: Telekom Malaysia, Singtel, YTL Comms.
  • Proven sales leadership with a passion for delivering unique value to customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements while consistently demonstrating value.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers and partners.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to meet aggressive targets and deadlines.
  • Leadership qualities, innovative, passionate, approachable, and a strong drive for success.
  • Deep knowledge of the CSP/Telco industry and data center hardware.
  • Understanding of ODM and CSP markets.
