Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the key person for larger clients or complex accounts, ensuring service levels meet or exceed expectations.

• Assist the Head of Financial Lines in developing strategic agendas and growth plans, and implementing placement initiatives.

• Take accountability for strategic growth, developing and implementing strategies to realize corporate opportunities.

• Conduct research, evaluate, and document trends. Understand and evaluate customer perspectives, needs, and requirements to identify growth opportunities.

• Collaborate with sales, industry, and client executives to position the financial lines product line firmly into strategic and client discussions/plans.

• Assist and oversee financial lines placement activities and support strategic and market discussions when appropriate.

• Conduct needs analysis and develop broking plans in response to client needs, gaining client approval in conjunction with the client and/or relevant stakeholders.

• Negotiate and evaluate quotes from Insurers and present recommendations to clients. Communicate the broking plan to clients, brokers, and carriers as appropriate.

Requirements:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in direct broking and/or the reinsurance field.

• Minimum Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) or equivalent.

• Relevant specialty experience in D&O liability, professional indemnity, cyber, and crime insurance is preferred.
