Job summary

A leading company in the engineering sector is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will take charge of payroll processing, full set accounts, and liaise with external auditors. Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience and be fluent in English, with added advantage given to candidates who are fluent in Mandarin.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of working experience in a full set accounts position.
  • Mature, meticulous, and able to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and month-end closing.
  • Prepare financial statements and assist in budgetary control.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure timely verification of timesheets.

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation in accounting and month-end closing to ensure timely and accurate.
  • Handle full set accounts (GL/AP/AR) and ensure the intercompany transactions is tally and cash flow monitoring
  • Assist to prepare annual budget
  • preparing financial statements for financial reporting as well as assisting in budgetary control, management accounting and financial analysis.
  • Responsible for monthly processing and submission of payroll and reports.
  • Ensure timely verification of timesheets and submission of payroll
  • CPF Submission
  • IR8A
  • PPE schedule
  • Tax computation & Capital Allowance Schedule
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Form C-S, ECI Filling
  • GST Report & Submission
  • Liaise with external auditor
  • Annual Return Filling
  • Preparation of AGM, EGM Board Resolution & etc.
  • Yearly closing & Audit Schedule preparation
  • To undertake ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

  • Diploma in accountancy or higher with at least 5 years of working experience in a full set accounts position and a strong knowledge in accounting entries
  • Must be mature, meticulous, able to multitask and take on challenges
  • Team player and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill and able to work in team/autonomously
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and cross functional teams
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Fluency in spoken Mandarin is a plus (in order to handle queries and converse with Mandarin in speaking external parties like)
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks accounting system will be an added advantage.
