Job Purpose:
The Accounts Manager acts as the primary link between the Company and our partner community. Responsible for managing the entire sales cycle with the goal of maximizing revenue, margin, and partner satisfaction. The role involves developing strong relationships with key contacts within business partners, uncovering sales opportunities, and delivering ongoing value.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a call plan with the Channels Director to maximize engagement with the partner community.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the product range and present informed overviews.
- Upsell and cross-sell to maximize margins and differentiate offerings.
- Assess product strengths and weaknesses from a technical perspective.
- Coordinate with other divisions to ensure efficient customer transactions and a positive buying experience.
- Maintain accurate CRM records to provide visibility into business activities.
- Follow up on quotations and advance sales through the sales cycle to closure.
- Collect and update relevant data for selling and renewing maintenance contracts.
- Design and implement outbound campaigns to meet margin targets.
- Conduct outbound calls to partners and prospects as per the call plan.
- Identify service opportunities in collaboration with the Technical Services team.
- Use the company's quotation tool to prepare proposals.
- Work with the Sales Support Specialist to develop tailored solutions.
- Obtain and maintain relevant sales certifications.
- Resolve partner issues promptly and escalate when necessary.
- Notify partners of upcoming renewals.
- Use CRM proactively for engagement and forecasting.
- Forecast business accurately with the Sales Manager monthly.
- Support the logging of orders with Sales Support as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience selling IT solutions through channels.
- Preferably holds a tertiary IT degree or diploma.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Self-managed with maturity to work across organizational levels.
- Good business acumen and presentation skills.
- Ability to leverage internal relationships and close opportunities.
- Technical competence in IT solutions.
