We are looking for an Account Director, Sales - Group (Singapore) to join our team!
As an Account Director, Sales - Group (Singapore), your responsibilities will include:
- Selling all facets of hotel services in Singapore, including rooms, catering, food & beverage, and other revenues as per budgets.
- Implementing sales action plans for your market(s) and account portfolio.
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of accounts to understand revenue impact and enhance negotiation opportunities.
- Maintaining excellent relationships with existing accounts and soliciting new business.
- Partnering with Business Development colleagues to source new business and maximize revenue.
- Collaborating with the Business Development team to increase share of existing accounts.
- Promoting and generating leads for other Shangri-La Hotels through the WeSell! Program.
- Conducting sales activities such as blitzes, tele-sales, calls, site inspections, entertainment, trips, trade shows, and other related activities.
- Supporting group-wide sales initiatives like promotions, sales missions, and business development weeks.
- Maximizing up-selling opportunities.
- Ensuring smooth handover of confirmed groups from Sales to Event Management.
- Following up on client feedback post-events and soliciting repeat or new business.
- Using systems like Amadeus Advanced (Delphi.fdc), Ideas, etc., to generate proposals at approved prices.
- Participating in sales meetings and executing actions to drive sales and conversions.
- Maintaining close liaison with GSOs and STB representatives to generate and convert inquiries.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or Hotel Management.
- At least five (5) years of experience in a similar role within an international luxury hotel group.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and guests.
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating delightful guest experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
