THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a sharp and motivated Account Director to join our Consulting practice – a dynamic startup within a thriving agency – where entrepreneurial spirit fuels impactful solutions. We're not your typical consultancy; we're biased towards action, delivering game-changing strategies that drive tangible results for our clients.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Management: you are the lead point of contact for most consulting clients in the Asia Pacific region. At times you'll be responsible for a global relationship and/or oversight in specific markets such as India.

  1. Overall management of a client's business, ensuring that we are delivering against agreed upon scope and objectives.
  2. Ensure that all client initiatives run on time and on budget.
  3. Leverage brand knowledge to inspire the team and contribute ideas that can transform the business.
  4. Effectively lead and shape client presentations and confidently present, as required.
  5. Strengthen and own client & partner agency relationships (and all other stakeholders) and ensure we're removing any barriers to our team delivering great and actionable work.
  6. Deeper and more proactive understanding of client's business outside of our consulting work, identifying additional opportunities for us to provide value and continue to build the relationship.

Team Management: you are the "voice" of the client internally, serving as the account steward with integrated teams who support consulting projects.

  1. Partner with project management and resourcing to properly cast and staff our consulting engagements, ensuring we're leveraging key team member strengths across the organization.
  2. Understand your role as a leader on the team. Always approachable and empathetic, you are seen as a role model to their direct reports in terms of maturity, self-awareness and professionalism.
  3. Educate, inspire, motivate, and mentor teams cross-functionally in the Agency's commitment to providing best-in-class marketing communications.
  4. Partner with integrated teams across creative, strategy, media to ensure we're delivering smart work that delivers on clients business objectives.
  5. Manage up to Head of Consulting on all things having to do with client and team.
  6. Radical Candor: Ability to deliver all feedback (both the positive and the tough) in a clear, direct and motivating manner.
  7. Attendance and leadership role at relevant client meetings and internal work sessions.

Sales Strategy & Business Development: support and in many cases lead business development efforts for Consulting.

  1. Expert on all Agency services with a nuanced understanding of all consulting offerings.
  2. Own and develop all consulting sales collateral, ensuring materials are fresh, updated and customized to meet the needs of various clients.
  3. Partner with new biz team and outbound leads to identify, qualify and nurture key new business leads that are a fit for consulting.
  4. Responsible for the development and presentation of consulting proposals that meet the clients specific needs.
  5. Drive long term consulting vision in conjunction with the Head of Consulting.

Agency POV and Business Strategy: you are a practitioner of platforms & culture. You live and breathe marketing for the world we live in.

  1. Proactively identify and drive forward new ideas and recommendations for how to evolve consulting offerings and opportunities for innovation within the marketplace.
  2. Strong foundational and working knowledge of creative and media across major digital and social channels.

Communication + Collaboration: You know how to wrangle and get things done.

  1. Solid presentation skills (verbal, written, visual) to deliver impeccable strategic social counsel.
  2. Collaborate with the leaders of other departments to improve and execute on client deliverables.

Financial acumen + business health:

  1. You deliver all projects on time and within budget for your business.
  2. Ensures client relationship health is closely tracked and communicated to leadership on a regular basis.
