Job description

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Singapore

The Academic Manager supports academic and curriculum development and its implementation, working closely with the Academic Associate Director, the Partner Liaison and Operations Director for existing business partnerships. This role ensures the academic quality of partner programmes such as Bellerbys, DLC, IY1, and new programmes. The manager collaborates with the Academic Associate Director and partnerships to ensure quality assurance checks are met according to UK and local legislation. They maintain regular contact with partners to provide coaching, guidance, and advice on program alignment, academic policies, procedures, and standards, supporting smooth academic processes with universities, moderators, examiners, and partners.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Academic Programme Management
  1. Support academic and curriculum development improvements and their implementation under the oversight of the Academic Associate Director.
  2. Maintain academic quality of programmes, advising partners and supporting quality assurance checks as per legislation.
  3. Contribute to assessment content and update programmes in collaboration with the Academic Associate Director and Curriculum Team.
  4. Support BAU activities by liaising with universities, moderators, examiners, and partners.
  5. Review and recommend enhancements to academic capabilities and integrity processes.
  6. Coordinate with universities to ensure entry and progression requirements are appropriate, with oversight from the Academic Associate Director.
Quality Assurance
  1. Work with the Compliance, Quality and Progression Manager to implement and manage quality assurance frameworks.
  2. Coach on academic policies, procedures, and standards compliance.
  3. Educate on curriculum updates and support audits by internal and external bodies.
Partnerships
  • Deliver partner training sessions, including onboarding and refresher courses for new employees.
Relationship Management and Communication
  • Maintain effective external relationships with partners and internal stakeholders, fostering confidence and collaboration.
ABOUT YOU
  • Essential: Undergraduate degree in education or related field.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in education.
  • Knowledge of UK or articulation partner country academic requirements and relationships with progression universities.
  • Experience in implementing academic programmes, curriculum development, and maintaining partnership relationships.
  • Experience with education technology and digital learning for international pathways.
  • Understanding of international education trends and cultural differences.
  • Business-level proficiency in English and Chinese; additional languages advantageous.
  • Skills in university entry programme implementation, communication, presentation, and conflict resolution.
  • Broad understanding of the international higher education context and related industries.
