As our empathetic and strategic Academic Experience Manager, you take the lead in aligning our Academic Teams (including teachers, curriculum designers and administrative support staff), fine-tuning communication and operations, and conducting the rhythm of daily execution, ensuring that every part of our learning ecosystem works in harmony.

[Your Role As Our Academic Experience Manager]

As our Academic Experience Manager reporting to our Management Team, you’ll be a key team player in supporting our Academic Team in the following areas:

  • Team Engagement & Support: With regular 1:1 check-ins and pulse checks, you will gain a deep understanding of their roles and challenges which allows you to escalate their concerns with empathy and discretion, while offering counsel tailored to individual needs. You'll plan and execute team socials to foster cohesion, support smooth onboarding and offboarding, and drive feedback loops that spark even more thoughtful discussions around professional growth.

  • Academic Operations & Project Management: You’ll be responsible for overseeing our academic operations and projects by monitoring chat threads to ensure timely responses and resolution. Beyond that, you'll help drive more thoughtful, data-informed decisions that support both team welfare and academic excellence by tracking progress on academic goals, ensuring alignment with termly and annual priorities, and sharing meaningful insights through regular performance updates to the Management Team.

  • Process & System Management: With your fresh perspectives, you’ll take the lead in auditing workflows to identify inefficiencies and proposing change management plans where needed. Beyond that, you'll be involved in maintaining accurate process documentation on Confluence and Notion, while providing foresight and strategic planning to streamline academic workflows and adapt proactively to evolving organisational needs.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Strategic Alignment: As we continue to grow our Academic Team, you’ll act as the liaison between academic teams and management, providing clarity on operational or policy changes. You will help ensure consistent, constructive communication with key internal stakeholders, advocating for the Academic Team’s welfare while balancing organisational goals and operational constraints to enable meaningful collaboration.

[You, Our Ideal Academic Experience Manager]

We’re looking for a highly driven and people-oriented professional who can lead with empathy, structure, and strategic foresight - even if you haven’t worked in the education industry before.

To succeed in this role, you should ideally have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable university

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - clear, tactful, and professional - with the ability to build rapport with various stakeholders, including academic team members, management, parents, and students.

  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience overseeing team operations, workflows, and check-ins, with a track record of resolving challenges with empathy and discretion.

  • A strong sense of ownership, able to independently prioritise tasks and drive initiatives to completion

  • High organisational discipline - you're someone who plans ahead, documents well, and ensures alignment across stakeholders

  • A natural growth mindset - you’re self-aware, receptive to feedback, and continuously seek improvement

Extra brownie points if you have:

  • Experience managing academically inclined teams (e.g. teachers, coaches, trainers, clinicians, etc.)

  • Experience working in a flat or fast-paced organisation, where you’ve had to wear multiple hats or build systems from scratch
