EHL Campus (Singapore) is seeking an Academic Director for the Undergraduate School responsible for educational leadership and program quality. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD and possess substantial experience in hospitality management, demonstrating strong financial and strategic capabilities to enhance student experiences and faculty development.
The Academic Director Undergraduate School (UGS) is the highest academic authority on Campus (Singapore) for the Undergraduate School. In this role, you provide intellectual and academic leadership, and you are responsible of the delivery and quality of all UGS education programs on the Singapore Campus while ensuring their compliance with the relevant accreditation bodies as well as overall fit with EHL Group academic portfolio. To ensure diversification of activities, the Academic Director UGS collaborates with the Managing Director for APAC Business Development and EHL Campus (Singapore) in the implementation on the Singapore Campus of the strategy of EHL Group as a whole.
More precisely, among other tasks, the Academic Director UGS will:
- Lead and manage the UGS department of EHL Campus (Singapore) (Faculty and Academic Staff).
- Validate, review or apply academic policies and procedures to ensure compliance of EHL Campus (Singapore) education and training programs with EduTrust/SSG regulations.
- Represent the UGS department of EHL Campus (Singapore) in the Academic and Examination Boards.
- Constantly create and maintain an excellent student experience and ensure the development of initiatives to broaden the academic appeal and footprint of the Faculty, ensuring innovation and creativity underpin the student experience.
- Be an ambassador for the Faculty and University, both internally and externally.
The Academic Director UGS has, among others, the following skills:
- Higher education-level of teaching in the area(s) of expertise. In depth knowledge of education and changes in its environment.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Experience and evidence of strategy development and effective implementation.
- Successful managerial and administrative experience that reflects the ability to implement policies and decisions is a plus.
- Capability to lead faculty and staff in a dual hospitality and academic environment.
The Academic Director UGS holds a PhD in management/business administration or DBA with a track record of teaching and research. Experience in hospitality management is a plus.
