Position Overview

The Academic Director will be a strategic leader responsible for the academic vision, curriculum quality, and educational excellence of all faculties. This role requires an inspiring academic professional who combines deep pedagogical knowledge with practical leadership experience to oversee academic planning, faculty development, quality assurance, and student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Strategy

  1. Develop and execute a forward-looking academic strategy aligned with the institution’s mission and industry trends.

  2. Oversee curriculum development and continuous improvement across all faculties.

  3. Ensure academic programs remain competitive, innovative, and relevant to both local and global markets.

Quality Assurance & Accreditation

  1. Lead the implementation of quality assurance frameworks and standards.

  2. Prepare and manage accreditation and licensing processes (national and international).

  3. Monitor academic performance through data and KPIs to ensure excellence in teaching and learning outcomes.

Faculty Management & Development

  1. Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing academic team.

  2. Foster a culture of academic rigor, innovation, and continuous professional development.

  3. Establish faculty performance benchmarks and evaluation systems.

Student Success & Experience

  1. Champion student-centered learning environments that encourage creativity, entrepreneurship, and critical thinking.

  2. Drive initiatives to improve retention, engagement, and graduate outcomes.

  3. Oversee academic policies, student progression, and academic integrity.

Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Alignment

  1. Build partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and professional bodies to enhance the relevance and prestige of academic offerings.

  2. Represent the institution in academic forums, conferences, and accreditation bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Business, Education, Commercial Arts, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in academic leadership or senior education management.

  • Proven track record in curriculum design, academic policy, and faculty leadership.

  • Knowledge of Southeast Asian higher education regulations; Southeast Asian experience is an advantage.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
