Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia is seeking an Internal Audit Consultant in Singapore. You will participate in internal audit engagements across Financial Services clients, assessing controls, conducting risk assessments and producing thorough reports.

You’ll plan fieldwork, document work papers, and deliver under tight timelines while supporting project leadership and junior staff. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as is experience in professional services and knowledge of risk

Qualifications

• Direct experience 3+ years in operational/non-financial internal audit for Financial Services clients.
• Strong understanding of market/financial risk management principles, methodologies, and outsourcing.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and report-writing skills.
• Experience in professional service lines as part of career.
• Professional certificates would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in internal audit engagements to assess internal controls through process walkthroughs and testing.
• Conduct risk assessments and highlight key risk areas for clients in Financial Services.
• Perform compliance reviews related to applicable legislation, guidelines, and policies.
• Document working papers and reports accurately; support in planning and fieldwork.
• Prepare deliverables under established timelines and assist in drafting internal audit reports.
• Lead projects and support junior team members in growth and development.

Work you’ll do

• Participate in internal audit engagements of various organizations, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls through conducting process walkthroughs and documentation testing.
• ConductriskassessmentstoassesstheriskprofileandhighlightkeyriskareasforvariousclientsinFinancialServicesIndustry.
• Perform compliance reviews related to the relevant legislation, guidelines, and internal policies.
• Be meticulous and accurate in documenting wallpapers based on documents reviewed.
• Assist in internal audit planning, execute fieldwork, and draft internal audit reports.
• Work independently and prepare deliverables (e.g. working papers and reports) under established timelines.
• Managing/Leadingtheprojectsandsupporttogrowthejuniortalentsintheteam.
