Job description

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contracts Manager in the administration and management of contracts for all ongoing projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Address and resolve contractual disputes by coordinating with relevant parties and providing recommendations (including review / drafting letters / replies, as required).
  • Assist in review and modification of contracts as needed.
  • Assist in managing and resolving disputes and claims in a professional and effective manner.
  • Maintain records of all dispute-related communications, actions, and resolutions.
  • Provide contractual guidance and support to project teams to ensure proper interpretation and execution of contract terms.
  • Coordinate with various departments, such as procurement, operations, and finance, to resolve any contract-related issues.
  • Stand in for the QS in the event of resignation or during the transition period while recruiting a replacement (on a temporary basis), ensuring continuity in Monthly Progress Claim, costing for claims and variations, and any other urgent tasks that may be required, for ongoing projects.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks or duties as required by the Contracts Manager.

Requirements

  • The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or other relevant fields), with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract administration.
