Job summary

A prominent construction firm is seeking a Project Manager with mechanical or metallurgy expertise to oversee project plans and technical coordination. The role involves ensuring compliance with standards and liaising with various stakeholders. Candidates with experience in the construction industry and proficiency in CAD software are preferred for this hybrid role based in Singapore.

Job description

Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Timing: 8.30am - 5.30pm
Salary Range: $ 3,000 - $ 5,500 (Depending on experience and qualification)
Office Address: Paya Lebar

Site Address: Tuas Nexus Drive (For scheduled site visits, it will be direct report. Pick-up time 7.30am at Exit A of Tuas West Road MRT)

Job Description:

A) Project Management

  • To carry out project planning, design, material requisition, cost control, project supervision and documentation.

B ) Technical Oversight
  • To review project specifications and technical clarifications.
  • To prepare method statements and check drawing discrepancies.

C) Team Coordination
  • To work closely with site team and coordinate with client's representatives, consultants, and sub-contractors on technical matters.
  • To involve as main liaison person with our China head office and Chinese suppliers in technical discussion.

D) Progress Monitoring
  • To target and ensure timely and smooth progress of works.

E) Compliance & Documentation
  • To ensure quality of works is achieved and WSHE regulations are complied with.
  • To ensure project activities complied with the company's ISO system.


Job Requirements:
  • Minimum a Diploma in any Mechanical or Metallurgy discipline.
  • At least 2 years working experience in the construction-related industry.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software and able to read / interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office suite (Excel, Words & PowerPoint)
  • To visit the worksite for follow-up and technical discussions as and when required.
  • Comfortable with hybrid working conditions between office (in Ubi / MacPherson area) and site office (PUB TWRP project in Tuas South).
  • Candidates with MOM's WSHMCI (previously known as BCSS) competency will have added advantage.
