Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the financial services or banking industry, with a focus on technology projects
- Experience in Wealth Management, Client Channels or related domains is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
- bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Job Purpose
The Project Manager for Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and successful delivery of technology projects within the Wealth Management domain. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, aligning with business objectives and contributing to the bank's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Alignment:
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, BA and Tech Leads to define scope, timelines, and budgets
- Drive weekly Capacity/prioritization meeting with Business
Delivery Oversight & Risk Management:
- Track progress, ensure adherence to timelines and budgets, and mitigate risks proactively
- Protect timelines and scope by challenging the business, when necessary, with support from key stakeholders
- Plan and manage releases, including dependencies across subsystems and teams and ensure delivery plans for all assigned squads align seamlessly with overall initiative release timelines
Medium – Long Term Work Funnel Management:
- Engage with Regional Wealth Platform to understand new initiatives, manage T-shirt sizing, and High-Level Estimates (HLEs)
Financial & Resource Management:
- Plan and track the budget for initiatives under their purview
Production Incident Management (Coordination):
- Partner with SRE and Platform teams to coordinate the effective addressal of critical production issues and incidents related to initiatives and modules owned by their respective squads, ensuring timely resolution and communication
- Plan on SRE familiarization on new launched features
Continuous Improvement & Performance:
- Foster continuous improvement in delivery processes across their assigned squads, emphasizing overall team performance, quality outcomes, adoption of best practices, and actively work to eliminate toil and drive towards greater efficiency
