Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore invites a senior researcher to lead and contribute to 6G wireless research initiatives. The role requires deep expertise in DSP, wireless algorithms, and protocol design, with a track record in standards work.

You will mentor engineers, publish technical material, and drive cross‑functional collaboration to align research with global standards. International collaborations, AI integration, satellite concepts, and energy efficiency will be key themes as you shape the research

Qualifications

MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.
Expert knowledge of digital signal processing and wireless algorithms.
Deep familiarity with mobile standards (3G, 4G, 5G and beyond).
Proven track record in proposing and defending standards documents.
Programming skills in C/C++, Matlab, Python.
Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, with patents or standards contributions.
Expertise in AI for communications, satellite systems, or wireless energy engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to advanced research in 6G wireless tech.
Develop technical proposals for international standards bodies.
Analyze trends and integrate cutting-edge concepts into the research agenda.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate feasibility and standard alignment.
Drive ecosystem engagement through global alliances and standardization committees.
Mentor junior engineers in standardization processes and technical writing.
