Job description

Role:

Technical Engineer (Building Environment)

  • Singapore Based (Boon Lay)
  • 5 Days work per week (Mon to Fri 9am to 6.30pm (Sometime is required to work late to complete projects. There is NO overtime payment. May be required to work on weekends at the site office to observe the construction site though this is very infrequent.))
  • Salary: $3000 to $3400

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural Engineering);
  • Recognised by Professional Engineer Board Singapore (PEB);
  • Other Built Environment Degree (degree in Building, Environment Engineering, Architecture etc.) will be considered.
  • Minimum one (1) year working experience in the Built Environment or Heritage Built Environment.
  • Restoration or Civil and Structural engineering design or project management experience preferable.
  • Willing to work rotational in office and on site;
  • Willing to travel and be stationed overseas.
  • Able to perform engineering hand calculation to BS and/or EC code of practice (BS 8110, BS 5950, EC2, EC3 and EC5);
  • Experienced in engineering design software;
  • CAD skills (BIM capability with point cloud processing preferred);
  • Class 3 driving license (preferable);


Job scope:
  • Prepare reports, writes ups, design calculations and technical specification;
  • Prepare 2D/3D drawings;
  • Planning and overseeing projects;
  • Feasibility and technical studies including site investigation;
  • Site inspection and investigation when required (working time to suit project requirement);
  • Liaising with client, authority, architect, engineer, contractor and supplier for coordination and to resolve design and development issues;
  • Conduct research and data search (physical and electronic) on topics and Capstone Project (in-house or with other tertiary institutions);
  • Making sure project compliance with latest Code of Practice and legal requirement;
  • To attend training courses arranged by the company
