Overview

Position: Project Manager

Project contract based (start from 29 Jan, estimated 27 months until project completion)

Details
  • Work Location: Changi Naval Base, Project Office at Lavender area
  • Working days: 5.5 days per week, 8am to 5pm, alternate Saturdays full day
  • Salary: $8000 to $10000 (depends on experience)
  • Education: Masters/Degree in Civil & Engineering or equivalent; recognized universities under the BCA is a plus
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years
  • Industry experience: Civil Works, Dredging, revetment, construction of pier/wharf
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera and AutoCAD
Job responsibilities
  • Carry out project planning, scheduling, cost control, maintain good documentation system and overall project management
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Participate in contract review to evaluate the company’s capability to fulfil contract order requirements, including involvement in tender clarification meetings with prospective clients
  • Ensure all aspects meet government regulations and standards, including safety of works, inspections and testing of equipment and machinery, training needs of staff
  • Control and monitor work progress and ensure work quality
  • Oversee effective management of project activities to assure timely delivery and low wastage
  • Overall planning and controlling of the cost of project execution
  • Manage and lead a group of engineers and construction managers
  • Overall coordination of the work progress of large and complex projects
  • Coordinate with other departments on issues affecting project work
  • Liaise with government/statutory authorities, consultants, clients, suppliers etc.
  • Provide timely project progress reporting to management
  • Attend project execution meetings
  • Responsible for applications for required consent/permits from relevant statutory boards or regulatory bodies (e.g., PSA, Ministry of Manpower)
  • Detect project problems and ensure effective corrective measures are executed
  • Other ad-hoc duties required to carry out
