Job Details

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5.30pm. Compensation up to $5,000. Location: Changi Naval Base. Contract: 1 year (renewable).

Job Description

• Perform maintenance tasks onboard vessels (mainly in harbor).
• Perform maintenance works onboard vessels in shipyard occasionally.
• Perform maintenance works on shore based systems.
• Perform defect troubleshoot to module/card level onboard vessels or shore based systems.
• Perform repairs to modules and PCBA in workshop.
• Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems.
• Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies.
• Perform technical admin work including quotations, closing jobs, service reports, etc.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Digital and Network Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering with Electronics modules.
• Experience working on board commercial and military vessels with Intercommunication, Maritime Radio systems, Radars, Navigation Aids and Electronics systems.
• Windows or Linux OS administration experience (installation and troubleshooting).
• Computer systems knowledge.
• Understanding of maintenance regimes and basic experience in troubleshooting systems to card level.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair PCBA or modules to component level.
• Good interpersonal skills, physical fitness, teamwork and discipline.
