Overview

The Citigold Private Client (CPC) Client Advisor is a strategic partner for high-net-worth individuals delivering comprehensive wealth management guidance and bespoke financial solutions. Serving as a trusted advisor, the CPC Client Advisor proactively anticipates client needs, crafting personalized strategies that encompass sophisticated investment management, advanced planning, and expert navigation of complex financial landscapes. This client-centric approach empowers clients to achieve their financial aspirations, while contributing to the growth of the Citi Wealth franchise. The Advisor builds deep, long-term relationships, acting as the central point of contact and collaborating with internal specialists to provide a holistic client experience. This role emphasizes wealth preservation, growth, and intergenerational wealth transfer, recognizing the unique needs of the world's changemakers. The CPC Client Advisor is expected to possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and consistently seek opportunities to enhance the client experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Wealth Management: Develop and implement personalized financial plans encompassing investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, tax optimization, and risk management.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with high-net-worth clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all wealth management needs. Conduct regular portfolio reviews, communicate market insights, and proactively address client inquiries.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the high-net-worth segment. Leverage existing networks and referrals to expand the client base.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal specialists (e.g., investment counselors, wealth planners, FX specialists) to provide clients with comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and investment opportunities. Provide clients with informed perspectives and recommendations.
  • Client Events: Organize and host client events to foster relationships and provide valuable market insights.
  • Compliance, Risk & Controls
    Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to.
    Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management or a related field, serving high-net-worth clients.
  • Relevant experience in North Asia Markets ( China, Hong Kong, Taiwan) with strong networks for client growth and business development. Ideally with experience managing high-net-worth clients residing in these markets.
  • Strong understanding of North Asian culture and practices.
  • Fluent in Mandarin/ Cantonese as well as English.
  • Proven track record of success in business development and client relationship management.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and wealth planning principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mandatory certifications as required for advising on and selling financial products
