Job summary

Nomura invites high-potential students to join its Graduate Internship in Singapore, a nine‑week program commencing February 2027. You will rotate across Global Markets desks—Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Research—receiving orientation and ongoing training while building practical experience and a professional network.

The program is designed as a pipeline for the Graduate Analyst Program, with fluency in English and a strong curiosity for finance and markets.

Qualifications

• Final year of study or equivalent eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Support Sales, Trading, Structuring, and Research desks with on‑the‑job learning.
• Assist in understanding markets across Global Markets and participate in desk activities.
• Gain exposure to risk management concepts and product structuring alongside senior teammates.
• Contribute to market analysis, idea generation, and client research during the program.

About the Program

Being part of our Graduate Internship program means you will gain first‑hand experience and insights to a career in markets. You will have the opportunity to feel our culture, acquire valuable on‑the‑job training and expand your network. This program is a key pipeline for our Graduate Analyst Program in Asia.

The Graduate Internship will start around February 2027 and run for nine weeks in our Singapore office. You will be provided with an orientation, followed by on‑going training on the desk. You will join one of the teams in Global Markets, ranging from Sales, Structuring, Trading, and Research, in order to give you a meaningful experience and help you develop by providing you with diverse responsibilities throughout the program.

Sales: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with institutional clients, including pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies and other corporate clients.

Trading: Assisting the trading desk in buying and selling securities on behalf of clients or the firm; market making and capital commitment.

Structuring: Designing and developing innovative products and strategies for Nomura's clients, in partnership with the trading function, to create a risk management strategy for structured transactions and, together with sales, to create a marketing strategy for our products.

Research: Collecting, analysing and assessing industry and company information to assist the research analysts in providing market insight and investment ideas for institutional investors and internal clients.

Strategy : Shaping Nomura’s near and longer term strategy across Nomura’s Global Market businesses globally by working closely with senior leadership on a range of management initiatives including business expansion strategy, market & competitor analysis, business planning and performance reviews, and client strategy.
