12 hrs Shift Technician (Exp Petrochemical, DCS, JURONG ISLAND)

Company: MNC in petrochemical and chemical engineering industry

Working Hour / Location: 12 hours rotating shift hours (2/3/2/3 pattern) / Jurong Island (transport pickup to and fro at Jurong East Mrt)

Remunerations: Up to $2,600 + $1,000 monthly fixed allowance + yearly increment + 13 mths Aws + 2 times Bonus payout + permanent staff benefit

Responsibilities:

1. Operate the process to meet the conditions specified in manuals/ instructions.
2. Operate the process equipment at site in accordance with operation plan.
3. Take measures to improve production status and equipment performance on productivity and quality after approval of senior.
4. Patrol plant process, confirm the condition of process and equipment and report disordered matter to senior shift technicians.
5. Prepare and organize patrol records.
6. Take a sampling for analysis of products and process evaluation.
7. Report all incidents, near misses, deviation from plan and take part in further investigation when required.
8. Assist in coordination of daily maintenance planning, and participate in maintenance activities and shutdown/start-up of sections.
9. Provide support for maintenance group/quality control group, if any problem arises.
10. Work as Shift Analyst when assigned by supervisor.
11. Perform the role as an auxiliary Fire Fighter.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or NITEC in Chemical engineering or any equivalent discipline.
2. Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in chemical plant, experience in polymerization unit and extrusion unit or a minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing plant such as compounding or extrusion is advantageous.
3. Possess basic knowledge of maintenance, chemical engineering and analytical procedures.
4. Experience in operation via DCS systems is advantageous.
5. An effective team player with good communication skills.
6. Able to work shift in a fast-paced environment.
7. Able to perform 12 hours rotating shift (8.30am to 8.30pm, morning shift / 8.30pm to 8.30am, night shift).
