Job description

1 Yr Contract Chemical Technician - [Must have Diploma in Chemical Process Technology / Chemical Engineering/ NO Exp OK!!] Up to 4K #HJC

Major Responsibilities:

1. Conduct activities related to equipment power supply and control to ensure proper plant functioning. Move raw materials and process solvents received from Production Warehouse personnel.
2. Load production equipment and perform activities to ensure instruments, services, and plant are in optimal condition according to Manufacturing Formulas, operating procedures, or Shift Manager instructions.
3. Document all activities accurately by signing and dating official production documents.
4. Communicate and collaborate with the Shift Manager and Production Support team to execute operations, resolve anomalies, and suggest solutions.
5. Ensure the regularity of production operations (reactions, distillation, transfers, etc.) by verifying process parameters on control panels and instruments (DCS, alarms, etc.).
6. Collaborate with Warehouse to pick up materials, verify quantities, batch numbers, and communicate critical situations to the Shift Manager.
7. Transfer liquids between trucks and storage tanks as needed.

Reporting and Maintenance:

• Report anomalies in instruments or equipment to maintain high efficiency and safety in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Maintain cleanliness in the working area, dedicating time to housekeeping as directed by the Shift Manager or Production Control.

Continuous Improvement:

• Monitor work progress against schedule and record SIC (Short Interval Control) data for the Daily Weekly Operating Report (DWOR).
• Analyze unexpected causes of negative trends with the Shift Manager and Production Support.
• Identify inefficiencies and wastes, focusing on quality, using Lean Manufacturing tools and Continuous Improvement methods (root cause analysis, problem solving, workshops, 5S).

Additional Duties:

• Perform administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as assigned by the supervisor.
