A new era of manufacturing and R&D is here. Are you passionate about technology, eager to solve real business challenges, ready to drive innovation, and join our transformation journey? Then this Graduate program is for you!
As part of the Graduate Program at Volvo Group, you will tackle real challenges from day one and contribute to the development of next-generation production solutions.
The 15-month Graduate Program combines 50% time in your home department with 50% dedicated program activities, giving you broad exposure across Volvo Group. Through local and international rotations, short-term assignments, and targeted training in areas such as operations, engineering, and purchasing, you will build a strong understanding of our business, brands and strategy. The program also includes direct customer exposure and encourages collaboration, knowledge-sharing and an end-to-end mindset, enabling you to contribute to transformation across the organization from day one.
The Chassis organization operates in global, cross-functional environments where technical expertise, innovation, and collaboration are key to success. We share a common focus on transforming requirements into sustainable solutions through data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and end-to-end ownership, while building long-term competence and business value.
Our team of 12, a mix of engineers, analysts, and XFTLs (cross-functional team leaders), focuses on chassis components, specifically wheel-end systems, and works closely with global development teams and related engineering functions to deliver robust and integrated solutions. We hold product ownership for Disc-Brake, Actuators, pads, and complete Hub assembly, and we're also responsible for Rims and Tyres strategies.
As a design engineer with interest in analysis, you will contribute to the development of our Mechanical brake system by performing calculations for heat, durability, and wear. You will apply technical expertise, analytical methods, and engineering judgement to solve complex problems, and correlate your analytical results with testing and operational data to ensure robust solutions. By combining data-driven strategic support with hands-on project execution, you will help turn business needs into scalable digital and operational improvements, supporting compliance with future emissions legislation while improving customer uptime and sustainability.

You enjoy building relationships and leveraging a global network to create impact while working collaboratively across teams and functions. In addition, you contribute to a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge, exchanging insights, and supporting the development of others.
We hope that you have a genuine interest in engineering calculations and simulations related to durability, thermal performance, and flow characteristics, and you're curious to deepen your knowledge of wheel-end systems, disc brakes, and simulation-driven development, even if you're still building that expertise.
You bring a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving, with the ability to investigate technical challenges and draw logical conclusions from data, simulations, testing, and field observations. Strong critical-thinking skills and an analytical mindset help you navigate complexity. You communicate and present your findings clearly, making it easy for others to follow your reasoning and act on your recommendations.
