Job summary

Scania, based in Södertälje, Sweden, is seeking a UX Lead to head design across the Software Factories. You will guide discovery, strategy, and high‑quality delivery across complex ecosystems, mentoring a team of designers and collaborating with engineers and product owners.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in digital product design, leading UX across multiple products strategically.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on across the full product development cycle: user research, IA, design, implementation, testing.
• Experience leading end-to-end design in technical, engineering software with strong technical understanding.
• Expertise in Figma, design systems, accessibility, and applying AI shifts in these tools.

Responsibilities

• Embed UX thinking into the product development lifecycle from discovery through delivery, aligning stakeholders, and translating design into epics, user stories, and specs.
• Define and own the vision, strategy and roadmap for the UX design team, mentoring members to elevate UX maturity.
• Lead early-stage problem framing and customer discovery, synthesize research into roadmaps, and translate insights into flows, wireframes, and UI.
• Act as the design voice in product leadership, shaping priorities and advocating for quality.
• Drive adoption of modern design tools and AI-aided workflows to accelerate quality and delivery.
