Job summary

IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute seeks an Acoustician/Researcher in underwater acoustics to plan field measurements, apply and develop analysis methods, and contribute to cross‑disciplinary projects. The role supports collaboration with clients and partners in a rapidly evolving environment.

You will join the Process Modelling and Digitalisation group. The team is based in Göteborg and Fiskebäckskil, with options for placement at other IVL offices for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent in engineering, physics, oceanography, marine science or related field.
• Experience in acoustics, signal processing, programming, marine measurements or environmental analysis.
• Interest in practical fieldwork and understanding environmental impacts of underwater noise.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate field measurements of underwater sound.
• Develop methods for analysing and modelling underwater acoustics.
• Collaborate with clients, partners and colleagues across projects.
