Job summary

We’re looking for a UI Design Lead to set the direction for UI at GeoGuessr and help our designers consistently create great player experiences.

The role

As UI Design Lead, you will own the craft direction, quality and consistency of UI design across GeoGuessr.

This is a hands‑on craft leadership role, not a people manager role. You will work closely with our UI designers throughout the design process, helping them solve difficult problems, challenge ideas and raise the quality of their work.

You will define what great UI means at GeoGuessr, across UX, visual design, interaction and motion, and build the principles, systems and ways of working that help us get there.

You will also work closely with Game Art and Front End to make sure art, design and technology come together as one coherent player experience.

Who are you?

You have a strong background in UI or product design, with excellent visual judgment and a passion for craft.

You are an experienced design leader who has led teams, disciplines or significant design initiatives. You know how to set direction, create alignment and raise the quality of the work, while still being comfortable getting into the details yourself.

You enjoy helping designers grow through feedback, critique and collaboration, and you know how to lead through influence and craft rather than formal people management.

You understand that great game UI is more than screens: UX, visual design, interaction, art, motion and technology all contribute to how an experience feels.
