Job summary

ALTEN Sweden is seeking a Software Engineer to join an automotive project in Gothenburg, focusing on refrigerant and heating controls. You will join a skilled software team responsible for thermal and refrigerant systems, ensuring passenger comfort and vehicle efficiency.

The role involves model-based development with Matlab/Simulink and software creation in C/C++, Python, with a strong emphasis on verification, validation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with Matlab/Simulink.
• Experience in C, C++, and/or Python development.
• Strong understanding of control systems and control theory.
• University-level technical education or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Holder of a valid driving license.
• Curious, self-driven, and eager to learn new technologies.
• Collaborative team player who takes initiative and shares ideas.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining software for refrigerant and thermal management systems.
• Designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting control system functionality.
• Working with Matlab/Simulink for model-based development and control design.
• Developing software solutions using C, C++, and/or Python.
• Supporting verification, validation, and fault tracing activities.
• Collaborating closely with software developers, control engineers, and system stakeholders.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of thermal and climate control functions for both cabin and battery systems.
• Participating in technical discussions and knowledge-sharing within a cross-functional team environment.
