Job summary

act digital seeks a seasoned Test Automation Engineer to design, plan, execute, and continuously improve the full testing lifecycle, leveraging automated frameworks to boost coverage, reliability, and delivery speed.

You will analyze business processes, prepare test plans, design and maintain automated scripts, evaluate tools for DevSecOps-aligned automation, and report metrics to stakeholders while ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of IT experience in testing planning, preparation, execution, monitoring and control.
• Advanced knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and data-driven reporting skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communications.

Responsible for designing, planning, executing, orchestrating, and continuously improving the full testing lifecycle, incorporating automated testing frameworks and strategies to enhance test coverage, reliability, and delivery speed.

Nature of tasks:

• Analyse and review of business processes, business and solution requirements (functional and non-functional), high level design and other software product documentation to prepare test plan and test approaches / strategies, etc.
• Manage the implementation of the test plans and test approaches / strategies.
• Design and implement test cases, suites and data for functional and non-functional testing.
• Design, implement, and maintain reusable automated test scripts.
• Evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to the digital solution applying DevSecOps approach.
• Setting up and maintaining test environments.
• Report bugs and issues in DevOps Tools.
• Support the investigation of identified issues.
• Create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
• Prepare, present and communicate test report.
• Lead and collaborate in stakeholders' meetings concerning testing services.

General competencies and skills (minimum):

• Experience of 5 years as a Test Automation Engineer or a similar role
• Advanced knowledge and experience of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience in applying analytical techniques to requirements review, test design, defect analysis and test reporting
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience in detailed and data-driven reporting
• Ability to give presentations
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
• Software testing related risk assessment and management
• Advanced knowledge in software testing: functional and non-functional (e.g. performance, configuration, usability, data migration, compatibility)
• Advanced knowledge in test management and automation tool(s)
• Understanding of relevant technology/ies (e.g. .Net, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, MSSQL, GIS, Power BI, Docker, Microsoft 365, Azure and/or ADFS)
• Experience with performance testing tools using relevant technology
• Experience with test case automation using relevant technology/ies (e.g. Microsoft Play-wright) and model-based or low-code automation approaches
• Experience of defining test strategy for software systems and its components.

General competencies and skills (advantageous):

• Advanced knowledge in SQL and data technologies
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, technologies and tools
• Knowledge of automated vulnerability scanning and security checks integrated in CI/CD
• Ability to blend traditional automation skills (e.g. Playwright, API testing, CI/CD) with next-generation competencies like model-based or low-code automation approaches (e.g. AI-assisted automation).

Education and professional experience:

• University degree with minimum 5 years of experience in IT OR non university degree with minimum 8 years of experience in IT
• Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience in testing planning, test preparation, execution, monitoring and control.
