Job summary

EDAG Group in Sweden is seeking a highly skilled Team Lead to drive automotive software testing, verification, validation, and integration within a complex development environment. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, lead pre-merge and post-merge testing workflows, and mentor a high-performance team, ideally with Volvo Cars exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Pre-Merge Activities: Monitor and coordinate activities across all Pre-Merge workflows; Ensure adequate test rig availability for Pre-Merge execution; Support development teams through Slack and other channels; Review Jenkins dashboards; Identify issues affecting delivery timelines.
  • Lead Post-Merge Activities: Monitor Post-Merge workflows; Ensure sufficient rig availability; Track and follow up on fault reports; Support root cause analysis; Communicate status updates to stakeholders; Drive process improvements.
  • Oversee Rig Operations: Coordinate with TFO teams; Assign and prioritize issues; Align responsibilities via RASIC; Optimize testing infrastructure utilization.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Lead daily stand-ups and CSAI/Operations meetings; Collaborate with Product Owners; Mentor team members; Be main contact between testing, development, management; Drive transparency and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a highly skilled Team Lead with a genuine interest in automotive software development, testing, verification, validation, and integration. You have extensive experience in the automotive industry, preferably from an OEM such as Volvo Cars or a similar automotive organization or Tier-1 supplier.

You have a proven track record in roles such as Test Lead, Team Lead, or Technical Lead, with responsibility for coordinating cross-functional technical activities, testing and integration workflows, delivery timelines, and operational priorities.

About the Role

EDAG is looking for a highly skilled Team Lead to drive testing and integration activities within a complex automotive software development environment. We are seeking a technically strong leader with proven experience in automotive testing, preferably from organizations such as Volvo Cars or similar OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with excellent people leadership skills and has a strong background as a Test Lead or Team Lead in the automotive domain. Swedish-speaking candidates are highly preferred.

Key Requirements
Must Have
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in automotive software testing, verification, validation, or integration.
  • Proven experience as a Test Lead, Team Lead, or Technical Lead in the automotive industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of automotive software development and testing processes.
  • Experience working with OEMs such as Volvo Cars or similar automotive organizations.

Preferred
  • Experience with CI/CD environments and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with fault tracking and defect management processes.
  • Experience working with test rigs, HIL/SIL environments, and automotive test infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Agile ways of working and large-scale software development organizations.
Responsibilities
Lead Pre-Merge Activities
  • Monitor and coordinate activities across all Pre-Merge workflows.
  • Ensure adequate test rig availability for Pre-Merge execution.
  • Support development teams through Slack and other communication channels.
  • Review and analyze pending and unexamined jobs in Jenkins dashboards.
  • Identify and elevate issues affecting delivery timelines.
Lead Post-Merge Activities

(Including Periodic Runs, Sanity Testing, BLQ, and Extended Testing)

  • Monitor Post-Merge workflows using CSAI dashboards and relevant tools.
  • Ensure sufficient rig availability to meet execution demands.
  • Track, manage, and follow up on Fault Reports (FRs).
  • Support development teams in fault identification and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain visibility of ongoing issues and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of testing and validation processes.
Oversee Rig Operations
  • Coordinate with TFO teams to ensure first-level analysis is completed efficiently.
  • Assign and prioritize issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Ensure responsibilities are aligned according to the RASIC framework.
  • Optimize utilization and availability of testing infrastructure.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead daily operational meetings, CSAI Operations meetings, and team stand-ups.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners regarding variant strategy and priorities.
  • Mentor team members and foster a high-performance team culture.
  • Act as the main point of contact between testing, development, and management teams.
  • Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous operational improvements.
