Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Sweden seeks a MBB RAN System specialist with deep LTE/5G NR expertise to design, analyse and optimise coverage, mobility and roaming strategies across complex multi-operator environments. The role focuses on delivering high-quality RAN performance and QoS improvements.

You will collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve issues, lead RAN design across LTE/NR interfaces, and ensure efficient signaling with core networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in LTE/NR, network optimisation, MOCN, MORAN.
• Strong understanding of RF related tools like Atoll, TEMS, NEMO or equivalent.
• Ability to bridge operational, architectural, and governance aspects of network optimization.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are advantageous

Your role

As a MBB RAN System specialist, you shall have deep expertise in 4G LTE and 5G NR radio networks, mobility management, and network optimisation. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, analysing, and optimising coverage, mobility, handover performance, and roaming strategies across complex multi-operator and mission-critical network environments.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Design, optimize and troubleshoot LTE/NR Radio access network. Develop and implement coverage and capacity improvement strategies.
• Lead the design and optimisation of mobility management strategies across LTE and 5G networks covering Intra-Inter, LTE-NR, Inter RAT mobility, X2, XN interfaces in depth understanding, able to assess and support troubleshooting of issues in RAN coverage, capacity, and handover reliability
• Hands on experience in MOCN, MORAN, Roaming environments in CSP or mission critical networks. Deep understanding of SINR, RSRP, RSRQ, EN-DC, mobility triggers and procedures, etc.
• Understanding of RAN e/gNB IP stack routing and binding to IPSec/encryption tunnels in combination with MOCN. Strong understanding of QoS for LTE/NR (QCI/5QI priorities, scheduling, etc) and closely with core network teams to optimise signalling and mobility procedures
• Identify root causes of mobility-related service degradation and implement corrective actions, working closely with vendors and stakeholders to rectify the issues on priority. Prepare optimisation recommendations, test reports & design documentation

Your profile

• Bachelor's/master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in LTE/NR, network optimisation, MOCN, MORAN
• Strong understanding of RF related tools like Atoll, TEMS, NEMO or equivalent
• Ability to bridge operational, architectural, and governance aspects of network optimization etc
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English; Swedish language skills are advantageous
