Job summary

Cubane Solutions AB in Sweden is seeking a hands-on Control System Development Engineer to lead the development and sustaining of SIMATIC SPPA-T3000 and PCS7 systems for medium gas turbines. You will design and implement control software and integrate systems into product designs, working closely with engineering teams to meet market requirements.

The role requires extensive experience with automation, strong proficiency in T3000 and PCS7, and willingness to travel to onsite Finspång at least

Qualifications

• Engineer and configure T3000 and PCS7 control systems, including control logic, sequences, interlocks, HMI/OS displays, alarms and reports.
• Develop and maintain control system software applications for MGT products; ensure design meets requirements.
• Implement change and configuration management, version control and rigorous testing.
• Integrate field instrumentation and subsystems; manage communications via Profibus/Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC.
• Apply industry standards for safety, quality and cybersecurity.
• Contribute to develop work processes and improve team outcomes.

Overview

Control System Development Engineer (T3000 and PCS7)

Hands-on Control Systems Engineer to lead and support the development and sustaining of SIMATIC SPPA-T3000 and PCS 7 control systems for medium gas turbines. The role involves developing and maintaining control system software applications to ensure products meet market requirements, collaborating with other departments to integrate control systems into the overall design of MGT products.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and configure T3000 and PCS7 control systems, including control logic, sequences, interlocks, HMI/OS displays, alarms and reports.
• Develop and maintain control system software applications for MGT products; ensure design meets specified requirements aligned with the technical road map.
• Implement change and configuration management, version control and rigorous testing to ensure system integrity.
• Integrate field instrumentation and subsystems; manage communications via common industrial protocols (e.g., Profibus/Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC).
• Apply industry standards and best practices for safety, quality and cybersecurity.
• Contribute to develop work processes and improve team and project outcomes within the team’s responsibilities.
• Continuously gain new skills and share knowledge by learning and supporting others over time.

What You Will Bring

• Extensive multi-year experience with automation and control technologies with interest in new technologies and applying existing technologies in new contexts.
• Extensive knowledge of T3000 and knowledge of PCS7.
• A proactive mindset that asks questions for clarity, challenges the status quo, and provides innovative suggestions to improve processes.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop sheets and instrument datasheets.
• Proficient English skills enabling clear professional communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience working with colleagues and customers in international settings.
