Job summary

A10 Networks, Inc. Ltd is looking for a System Engineer in Sweden, responsible for supporting pre-sales activities by promoting product solutions and performing customer demonstrations. You will be assisting with sales proposals and providing technical support to customers.

The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and a minimum of 4 years of pre-sales experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required, along with a strong understanding of networking protocols.

Job description

A10 Networks’ System Engineers act in a pre‑sales role promoting A10 product solutions. They perform customer demonstrations, explain features and benefits, design networks, and configure equipment to meet specific customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical and sales support for accounts and channel in your assigned territory.
• Performing presentations (technical, product, and solution) for customers, partners, and prospects.
• Assisting with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Managing POC testing, RFP & technical solution drafting, competitor analysis, training materials, media soft paper and promotional documentation organization.
• Delivering internal training for sales and marketing teams and external training for channel partners and key customers.
• Providing remote and on‑site support for customer technical problems and on‑site technical troubleshooting for key customers.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in EE or CS (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of pre‑sales experience.
• Knowledge of Layer4‑7 protocols and technologies such as TCP, UDP, HTTP, DNS, and SSL/TLS.
• Strong L2/L3 expertise with emphasis on network routing protocols (OSPF/BGP).
• In‑depth knowledge in virtualization, cloud‑native, application acceleration, DDoS mitigation, IPv4 preservation/IPv6 migration, and network & application security.
• Strong operational experience with at least one of: application delivery controller, enterprise applications, network security.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, spoken and written.
• Available to travel to Europe, occasionally Middle East and Africa, and to the US.

Desirable Skills

• Competitive knowledge in Layer4‑7 switching, including solutions, technology, and product offerings.
• Knowledgeable about company competitive landscape, technologies, solutions, product strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
• Knowledge of protocols and technologies in mobile service provider/ISP environments such as CGNAT, Gi/SGi firewall, GTP firewall, and DDoS clean pipe.
• Experience scripting in Shell or TCL along with Unix/Linux technical experience.
