Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a System Diagnostics Engineer – Aftermarket to define, validate, and improve diagnostic capabilities for vehicles in operation, focusing on real-world workshop needs. You will bridge aftermarket workshops, software/ECU development teams, and service tool developers to drive improvements in diagnostic coverage and fault-tracing efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience using diagnostic and verification tools in truck or passenger car workshops.
• In-depth knowledge of fault tracing, common vehicle issues, and real workshop operations.
• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics concepts, DTC structure & implementation and ECU parameters & in-vehicle tests.
• Deep understanding of aftermarket workflows and value chains.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on diagnostics and fault tracing in the field.
• Integrate aftermarket processes and workflows.
• Provide vehicle diagnostics software and ECU support.
• Support verification and validation of diagnostic functionality in vehicle software releases.
