TheLarge Scales Structuresgroupis responsible forkey instruments, including ESTIA, FREIA,LoKI,NMXand SKADI, providing the infrastructure needed to support a wide range of experimental techniques and studies within theLarge ScaleStructures community. By ensuring these instrumentsoperatesafely and reliably, LSS enables scientists to investigate complex materials, perform advanced materials characterization, and study fundamental structural phenomena at unprecedented scales.

A suitable background for thispositionwould be:
The ideal candidate has an education in STEM, either at the high school/gymnasium level or pursuing a bachelor’s degree, and experience working in a lab-based environment. They have a strong interest in science and engineering and enjoy hands‑on work and practical problem-solving. Theydemonstrategood record‑keeping, documentation, and lab notebook skills. They enjoy communicating and collaborating with a variety of people in an international environment. The candidate is proactive, able to take initiative, and not afraid to ask questions.
This is asummer workposition of2months/8weeks.
Planned start date is1June,2026or per agreement.
