Qualifications

• Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field.
• Thesis scope: 30 ECTS credits (~6 months).
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations in OpenFOAM using various flow, turbulence, spray, and thermodynamic models.
• Evaluate simulation results against experiments conducted at Vattenfall's lab in Älvkarleby.
• Investigate steam condensation, spray-wall interaction and heat transfer mechanisms.
• Contribute to validation and improvement of existing heat transfer models used in industry.
• Participate in experimental work including new miniature test rig and high-speed infrared imaging.
