Job description
Overview

Are you a senior and entrepreneurial leader intrigued by building strategic partnerships that shape the future of manufacturing? Intelligent Manufacturing is a Business Area within Sandvik Group, and we are on an exciting growth journey, building the new digital era of manufacturing, and we have the know-how and innovative mindset to develop ideas into pioneering tech solutions.

As customers seek holistic partners for their digital transformation, your mission in this role is to ensure that Intelligent Manufacturing connects the right people, technologies, and solutions to create mutual value and long‑term collaboration.

Your mission

You take a central role in shaping how we engage with our most strategic manufacturing customers. This high‑impact position combines hands‑on customer engagement with responsibility for developing a structured partnership approach for Intelligent Manufacturing and shaping how we work with strategic partners going forward. As the single point of orchestration for enterprise‑level customer engagements across Intelligent Manufacturing, you drive collaboration that delivers measurable business impact and long‑term partnership value. Your work spans the entire Intelligent Manufacturing portfolio – from design and simulation to production and verification – and connects closely with our cutting tools businesses.

Included in your mission is to:
  • Engage and orchestrate relationships with selected global enterprise manufacturing partners.
  • Develop and implement a structured approach for managing and growing strategic partnerships.
  • Facilitate collaboration between enterprise customers and Sandvik’s decentralized businesses to unlock joint opportunities.
  • Create awareness of our full digital and manufacturing offering, enabling end‑to‑end automation.
  • Connect commercial opportunities across brands to maximize value for both us and our customers.
  • Drive commercial and operational value generation for both parties through structured joint initiatives.

Beyond these responsibilities, you shape and communicate compelling solution narratives that integrate CAM, Simulation, Metrology, QMS, and AI‑driven automation. You listen and learn from customers’ needs and expectations, translating insights into tangible actions and improvements. Your influence extends internally as well, as you help guide roadmaps and strategies based on what you learn from the market.

The role is based in Europe and involves regular travel to follow key customer engagements. You report to the Vice President of Business Development for Intelligent Manufacturing and collaborate closely with technical, commercial, and marketing experts to ensure our enterprise positioning is impactful and consistent.

Your profile

You bring extensive experience in manufacturing software, digitalization, or industrial automation, combined with a proven track record in enterprise account management, partnership development, or consultative solution selling. You are comfortable engaging at senior levels and have strong relationship‑building skills, including experience working directly with C‑level stakeholders. A deep understanding of digital manufacturing concepts, such as MBD, QIF, digital thread, and AI‑driven automation, sets you up for success. Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills are a must.

Thriving here means being entrepreneurial, strategic, and collaborative. You’re comfortable balancing program development with hands‑on delivery and working in a matrixed, international environment.
