Job summary

Hyundai Motor Sweden seeks a Financial Controller to safeguard IFRS-compliant reporting, strengthen internal controls and provide reliable financial insight to the business. Based in Stockholm, you will own cross-functional finance projects and report to the Head of Finance.

You will lead monthly closings and statutory statements, support audits and tax compliance, and drive process improvements, automation and data quality across the finance function. Fluency in Swedish and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting, controlling, audit or a similar role.
• Strong accounting background with ownership of general ledger, closings and financial statements.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Swedish accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with large ERP systems; SAP knowledge is desirable.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; PowerPoint and Office suite knowledge.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
• Experience from the automotive industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure IFRS-compliant group reporting and accurate monthly submissions in line with group deadlines.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including reconciliations and provisions.
• Prepare and coordinate statutory financial statements and support audits.
• Manage tax related topics and ensure compliance with new tax changes.
• Maintain effective financial controls, approval authorities and documentation.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting and analyze plan vs operational plan.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes and data quality.
• Plan and deliver finance-related and cross-functional projects from scope to handover.
• Validate accounting transactions and ensure that GL records are complete and accurate.
