Job summary

OSTTRA, based in Stockholm, seeks an Engineering Team Lead to drive technical decisions, establish engineering practices, and mentor a high-performing team responsible for building, running, and supporting a core platform. You will lead architectural initiatives, enforce standards, and foster cross-functional collaboration across product, platform, and vendors.

The role offers deep hands-on architectural work while sharpening executive leadership capabilities, with a focus on multi-region

Qualifications

• Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams and mentoring engineers.
• Technical depth across backend/frontend architectures and distributed systems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Ownership mindset for full software lifecycle including production readiness.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Willingness to work from the Stockholm office at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end accountability for architecture, security, scalability, and operational health of the core platform.
• Define and enforce standards for clean code, architecture patterns, testing, and CI/CD across front-end and back-end.
• Coach and grow engineers, fostering psychological safety and high performance.
• Partner with product, enterprise architecture, and vendors to align engineering with business goals.
• Lead by example in production operations and on-call rotation to maintain availability.
