Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a specialist solutions architect for our Database team in Europe North to help customers design complex database and data workloads on AWS.

You will partner with product, field, and sales teams to accelerate adoption, publish white papers, reference architectures, and mentor other solution architects while working in a hybrid model near AWS offices in Sweden.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of database domain experience.
• Deep knowledge of at least one commercial relational database or open source database.
• Familiarity with AWS technology.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design best-in-class database infrastructure solutions for all stages of customer lifecycles.
• Help enable new capabilities for customers to develop and deploy data workloads on AWS infrastructure.
• Deploy database and data strategies.
• Partner with SAs, Sales, Business Development and Service teams to accelerate customer adoption and revenue attainment.
• Work closely with account teams, research scientists, and product teams to drive model implementations and new solutions.
• Thought Leadership - Evangelize and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers and the AWS teams to provide customer driven product improvement feedback.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of related subject matter experts.

AWS is looking for a specialist solutions architect for our Database team, who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) helping customers to design complex solutions. As part of the team, you will work closely with Europe North customers across all industry verticals to enable large-scale use cases and drive the adoption of advanced AWS services. You will interact with other Solution Architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers to fully leverage AWS.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Key job responsibilities

• Working closely with our product and field teams and 3rd party model providers, you will help enable new capabilities for our customers to develop and deploy data workloads on AWS infrastructure

Basic Qualifications
