Job summary

Isar Aerospace SE is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to maintain and upgrade the rocket engine test facility in Kiruna, Sweden. You will be responsible for both software and hardware of the control systems, collaborating closely with the team in Munich.

This role requires experience in PLC programming and automation technology, with opportunities to grow through our employee participation program and support for relocation.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or equivalent; or a certified engineer in automation technology.
• 2+ years of experience in automation and PLC technology.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in PLC programming and commissioning using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 or CODESYS.
• Experience troubleshooting and providing technical support in the field and remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC software for existing and future control systems.
• Design PLC hardware setups and PLC networks.
• Perform risk analyses and design safety-critical electrical systems.
• Commission and maintain/upgrade control systems.
• Perform rocket engine tests as part of the local team.
