Job description

If you share our passion but don’t meet every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might be the perfect fit for this role, or another as we grow.

At Stegra, we’re not just building a plant, we’re proving that sustainable industry is possible. And to do that, we need people like you.

Join a team where safety comes first. Where we support each other, learn as we go, and make space for everyone to grow and contribute. This is your chance to be part of something big - while being closer to nature and leading a balanced, purposeful life.

Help build the procurement capability behind Stegra’s next chapter. As our Sourcing Manager – Digital & IT, you’ll help shape how we source and manage the technology, services and partnerships our business depends on.

Working closely with colleagues across technology, engineering, operations, logistics and finance, you’ll lead sourcing activities and commercial negotiations, build effective supplier relationships, and find the right balance between business needs, cost, quality, risk and sustainability. You’ll also play an important role in developing how procurement works as Stegra continues to grow.

What You’ll Do

Specific to this role, your responsibilities will include the following, but as we are a growing company with very few silos between teams, other tasks and opportunities may be included as well.

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities and commercial negotiations across software, cloud services, hardware and IT services.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and develop sourcing strategies that create long-term value.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, balancing cost and commercial outcomes with service quality, risk and business requirements.
  • Manage suppliers throughout the relationship lifecycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, renewals, renegotiations and offboarding.
  • Monitor supplier performance, commercial risks and market developments, using data and insights to support decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise costs, strengthen supplier performance and continuously improve ways of working.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement processes, tools and practices as the procurement function and wider business continue to grow.
What you’ll bring

You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re comfortable taking ownership, challenging established ways of working and finding solutions in an environment where not everything is already defined. You build trust through collaboration and sound judgement and enjoy working across different functions and areas of expertise.

Role

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below:

  • A degree in IT, business, finance, supply chain, procurement or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least five years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management, ideally within Digital & IT.
  • Experience leading sourcing processes, commercial negotiations, contracting and supplier management from end to end.
  • Experience sourcing areas such as software and SaaS, cloud services, IT hardware, infrastructure, telecommunications or professional IT services is an advantage.
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective sourcing and supplier strategies.
  • Confidence in negotiating commercial terms and managing supplier relationships while balancing cost, quality, service, risk and long-term value.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build trust across different functions.
  • A structured and self-motivated way of working, combined with the adaptability to manage changing requirements and competing priorities.
  • A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with an interest in improving processes and helping build a growing procurement function.
  • Fluency in English.
