Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking an experienced Solution Designer to join a dedicated agile software development team in Stockholm/Solna area. You will guide the team to build high quality software and design robust IT solutions for optimal user experience.

You will bridge business and technical knowledge and translate user stories into detailed integration designs while collaborating with IT Architects and Designers.

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Technology, Engineering or other relevant education.
• At least 6 years of the tech stack: Angular 20+, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, .NET Core 9, Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions.
• Experienced fullstack developer (Frontend and Backend).
• Experienced in Frontend software development and API development, design, integration and management.
• At least 5 years’ experience in Solution Design and good understanding of IT architecture within end-to-end web and cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Git, Tailwind, Bootstrap, SAST and DAST tools in daily work.
• Interest in AI software development tools (Cursor, Github CoPilot, MS Foundry).
• English fluently; Swedish is a plus.

Job description

As a Solution Designeryou will be part of a dedicated agile Software Development Team and your main responsibilities are:

• To guide and support the agile development team to build high quality software solutions
• To develop and design robust and sustainable IT Solutions to ensure the best user and customer experience.
• To act as a bridge between business and technical knowledge
• Be able to translate user stories into detailed solutions and integration design, following architecture guidelines.
• To team up with IT Solution Architects and Solution Designers to collaborate on technical aspects by following and improving Vattenfall IT framework and guidelines
• To refine and review business requirements to ensure the most effective use of infrastructure, IT systems and customer experience
• Your solution design and software development skills are according to best practice principles
• Contribute to agile team norms and coding standards, software design best practices, and architecture strategy
• Use, ensure and implement secure software development
• Be an ambassador for application solution best practices and application security
• Share your software development and solution design best practices with your peers within IT

Your Background Preferably Include

• University degree in Information Technology, Engineering or other relevant education
• At least 6 years of the tech stack: Angular 20+, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS .net core 9, Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions
• Including: Experienced fullstack developer (Frontend and Backend)
• Experienced in Frontend software development
• Experienced in API development, design, integration and management
• At least 5 years’ experience in Solution Design and good understanding of IT architecture within end to end web and cloud solutions
• Have used Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Git, Tailwind, Bootstrap, SAST and DAST tools in your daily work
• A deep interest in driving value-creating innovation and of using AI software development tools (like Cursor, Github CoPilot and MS Foundry)
• Knowledge of Optimizely (EpiServer CMS) development is a beneficial
• Experience in Agile frameworks and agile software development
• English fluently both oral and written is a must and it is beneficial if you also speak Swedish fluently both oral and written
