Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in base software development for automotive products (engine control modules, inverters, or transmission control modules).
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, application software, and software integration is advantageous.
• Strong English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of Swedish is desirable for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as component owner for software within assigned project and lead software deliverables towards suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate development of base software for ECUs or inverters across project phases with cross-functional teams.

A leading automotive technology company is looking for a Software Responsible to join its Software & Electronics group. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation powertrain control systems. You will work in a high-performing in-house team of skilled engineers to develop advanced powertrain solutions, ranging from hybrid engine control systems to fully electric powertrains, including electric drive units and inverters.

We are looking for a development engineer who can understand customer requirements, identify efficient solutions in collaboration with suppliers and colleagues, and contribute to the design of technical solutions. What will you do?

As a Software Responsible, you will act as the component owner for software within your assigned project. You will lead software deliverables towards suppliers and customers and coordinate the development of base software for ECUs or inverters throughout different project phases.

You will work closely with software and hardware engineers within a cross-functional project team, collaborating with project leadership and base technology architects.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for the supplier regarding your assigned product and ensure that technical performance, cost, and delivery timing meet project objectives.

The role requires a solid understanding of technical requirements within your area of responsibility. You will coordinate requirements with function owners and plan implementation activities in accordance with the product specifications.

Skills and qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:

• A B.Sc or M.Sc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.

• Experience in base software development for one or more automotive products, such as engine control modules, inverters, or transmission control modules.

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, application software, and software integration is considered an advantage.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Knowledge of Swedish is desirable to support effective collaboration and communication.
