Job summary

Understanding Solutions seeks a Swedish-speaking Forward Deployed Engineer to work with a Swedish customer on modern AI products. The role is fully remote and hands-on, translating customer needs into technical requirements and delivering integration and deployment.

You’ll collaborate with a small, high-performing team, own projects end-to-end, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while moving fast in a startup-like environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent professional Swedish required.
• Strong recent production experience with Python.
• Full-stack or broad product engineering experience.
• Experience working with APIs and backend services.
• Ability to communicate directly with technical and non-technical customers.
• Evidence of independently building and shipping production software.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Experience with React, Node.js, FastAPI, Django, Flask, PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure would be useful.
• Experience with Voice AI, speech-to-text, ASR, conversational AI, NLP or LLM-based products would be valuable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and adapt product functionality using Python and modern web technologies.
• Develop integrations with customer and third-party systems.

Location: Full Remote - Swedish candidates only

We're working with a rapidly growing YC-backed AI technology company looking for a Swedish-speaking Forward Deployed Engineer to join its engineering team.

This is not a traditional implementation or solutions role. You'll remain highly hands‑on technically while working directly with a Swedish customer, understanding their problems, translating those into technical requirements and helping build, integrate and deploy the product.

You'll work within a very small, high‑performing engineering team where ownership, speed and technical ability are extremely important.
